Johnston Motorsports provides consignment sales services. We can prepare, advertise and sell your vehicle for you. Consignment fees are a percentage of the final sale price.
Consignment Process
Inspection and Appraisal
The vehicle is inspected and appraised to determine the market value. A consignment agreement is executed.
Pricing
We discuss the appraisal with you and agree on a target price. Johnston Motorsports sets the listing price. Our Consignment Sales Fees are scaled based on vehicle market value.
We Advertise and Display Your Car
Your car is prepped and photographed; the data is then entered into our system. The photos and profile of your vehicle are listed on multiple car sales websites and on our own website. Your car is shown to prospective buyers, test drives are performed and the sales price negotiated.
We Sell Your Car For You
When an offer is accepted, we sell your car to the buyer and notify you. We manage the title transfer process. When the sale process is completed, we deduct the consignment fee from the sale price and send you a check for your proceeds. If your car does not sell within the agreed upon listing period, we will contact you to discuss the options.
